RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ETHICS AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Business ethics are the moral principles a company uses to ensure all employees act in an acceptable manner when completing business functions. Social responsibility is typically an ideological theory that governments and the general public hold. Business leaders and organizations can examine how their decisions relate to social responsibility, which is a general concept that can include social as well as cultural, economic, and environmental issues. By integrating business ethics and principles of social responsibility, organizations can make a difference in the world and enhance their reputation.
Business ethics is profitable for organizations. Moreover, the social responsibility is to increase its profits. I would like to say CSR encompasses business ethics as a key factor. Good ethics does mean good corporate responsibility and profitability. High ethics, high corporate responsibility, and good business can co-exist. In other words, the more ethical an organization is, the higher chance for it to be also responsible, sustainable, and profitable. I totally agree that companies applied more ethics which means they would take responsibility for society and have more possibilities. If they don't care about ethics, they might not consider corporate social responsibility. From my perspective, business ethics is more basic and firms should apply business ethics.
